Accredited by The Royal College of Midwives, Aqua Natal classes are a wonderful combination of gentle stretches and relaxing exercises expertly designed for expectant mums to help the body prepare for giving birth. The water based exercises are a perfect way to support your joints, as well as strengthening back and abdominal muscles ready for ‘carrying’ baby and beyond.

Aqua Yoga is a series of unique exercises developed by pioneering senior yoga teacher, Dr Francoise Barbira Freedman, founder and director of the charity BIRTHLIGHT. Aqua Yoga guides you through the ideal exercises for easing your pregnancy, as well as recovering strength and tone after giving birth. Many variations are included to make Aqua Yoga invaluable to swimmers and non swimmers alike. I’m honoured to have had the opportunity of being taught by this amazing woman, and look forward to sharing with you the expertise and experience of her teachings. I was awarded a Diploma in Birthlight Aquanatal Yoga to teach pre and postnatal Aqua Yoga classes’ in March 2022. Birthlight aims to be an independent source of support, information and original body-based practices for women, parents and babies before and after birth.Â
